Have you been diagnosed with a specific kind of psoriasis?

There are many different types of psoriasis including plaque, guttate, pustular, and erythrodermic. Have you been diagnosed with a specific kind of psoriasis? If so, which one?

Bonjour!

Merci!

I thought if translated perhaps this individual could find some help..

Hello! I am 30 years old and have had psoriasis since I was 19. I have been taking Methotrexate for approximately ten years, off and on (pregnancy, breast feeding, disappearing of my psoriasis).

For a month, I have had an incredible rash on my head and feed. This is the second time in 19 years that this has happened to me. I suffer from pustular psoriasis and have been feeling pain on my hands for about two years. Perhaps the beginning of arthritis?

Last week I went to the the emergency room at a hospital in Montreal because I could not cope with creams that do not work.

I wanted a second-opinion and was referred to a doctor that I will be seeing on April 14 – the doctor works with biologists and told me about a liver biopsy. This scares me very much. Although I am happy that a doctor will see me (I hate taking pills and know that Methotrexate is to chemical) – I am nervous about the biopsy.

I was told that if my body contained more than 2g of Methotrexate, a biopsy would be necessary for the doctor to change my medication.

Has anybody had a liver biopsy? How did you take it? I have recently ceased taking Methotrexate because I will be seeing the doctor April 14. If not, I will be using Dovonex and Nerison.

Thank you!

Hello all:-)

I have guttate, plaque, inverse and pimple like ones on my feet. When I was ten it was just plaque on my head. At 18, three or four droplets of guttate only. At 19yrs old I had my very first full body outbreak of guttate (diagnosed as psoriasis but the dermatologist never told me which kind!). I've lived with it as mild guttate since my outbreak and only in the last month have dealt with so many at once!! I'm religiously going to a tanning salon to reduce the flaking and thickness of scales (which it has) and use Dovobet in conjunction with it.

For the french member-I've never had a liver biopsy. I hope your doctor's appointment went okay? Sending you hugs from Edmonton!
