I have psoriatic arthritis and if I can keep my arthritis in control my psoriasis is better but nothing helps much when it is bad. I hope I can get some better help this fall when I see a different Derm.

I have psoriatic arthritis for a long time about 20+ years. I am over here visiting my son and daughter-in-law who have just emigrated from England and she showed me the article in the Red Deer Express. I hope its alright to join your group.

I have had Psoriasis for about 40 years. Approx.10 years ago I devloped arthritis in my hands and feet. I have been through all the treatments - tars, light .... The doctor I went to prescribed Methotrexate which I take once a week to control the psoriasis and I take celebrex daily to control the inflamation. I also take folic acid and pantaloc. I still have a few small patches of psoriasis and some painful joints but basically I feel it is under control.

I have suffered with Psoriatic Arthritis for about two years. It has been a difficult journey, being 22 and having arthritis. It is very limiting! The onset of it was extremely fast. I have since been prescribed Methotrexate, and Celebrex. The methotrexate has done wonders for my joints and my skin! Pretty serious stuff, but it works. Still sore on most days though, mostly hands and feet.

Its funny how it works, you get it under control and your mood improves so much. Its all about finding what works for you!

I've been on weekly methotrexate injections for the past two years. They've been helpful until now, as a flare-up recently blindsided me.

I am a happy man, I recover 99% of my flexibility with Psoriatic Arthritis. My secret?
A good doctor, an injection of simponi every month, methotrexate every week (1/2cc or 20mg pills) and I clear my psoriasis with phototherapy 3 times a week, sessions of 1-4 minutes. My body was covered with psoriasis and last year I was unable to walk, now it's different, except for a dime size of psoriasis over my back, I'm ok wow, reborn .....
